Lara King is a Family Nurse Practitioner with specialty board certification in Advanced Diabetes Management. She is employed at the DiABETES Institute in Meridian, MS and has provided comprehensive diabetes care to the Meridian area for more than 8 years.
She obtained her BSN in 1997 and worked in CCU and ER until returning to pursue her post graduate degree at the Mississippi University for Women in 2011. Lara lives in Meridian with her husband and has three grown children.
It is her passion to manage all aspects of diabetes and she is highly skilled in the management of Type I, Type II, MODY, LADA, pre-Diabetes, and gestational DM. Lara has many years of experience with Continuous Glucose Devices and insulin pumps. She takes pride in ensuring she is up to date on the latest technologies in the field. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
